Students investigate electromagnetic induction using only classroom low-voltage equipment. Available equipment and procedure options: Use a guided magnet carrier, position marks, a video timer and a voltage logger; move through the same start and end positions. Design an investigation of how the time for a magnet to cross a fixed coil region affects peak magnitude of induced voltage. Include a reasoned hypothesis, an appropriate range, controls, repeat measurements, a results table or graph, and one specific limitation and safety measure. Do not invent experimental results.
