01What GioPhysics is

GioPhysics is an independent physics study site, written and run by Giovanni Alexander. It gives you interactive lessons, problem studios, PDF guides and classroom presentation decks across twenty-nine physics modules, mapped to MYP, Cambridge IGCSE, A-Level, AP and IB physics.

It is a study aid, not a school. It is not affiliated with, and not endorsed by, Cambridge, Pearson/Edexcel, AQA, OCR, the College Board or the IB. Those names appear only to describe which syllabus a lesson maps to.

02Who can hold an account

• You need to be 13 or over to hold an account. Accounts are not knowingly created for anyone younger.
• If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian first. They should read these terms with you.
• Where a school holds the licence, the school administers its students’ accounts and stands behind this agreement for them.

A parent or guardian is welcome to set up and pay for an account on behalf of a student. If you do, the account is yours to manage.

03Your account is yours alone

Signing up takes a username and a password. An email address is optional: you can add one so that a forgotten password can be reset, and you can remove it again whenever you like. Everything on the site works without one.

Keep the password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your login, so:

• One account, one person — do not share a login with classmates, friends or family.
• Do not pass on, upload or redistribute the PDFs you download as a member.
• Tell me straight away if you think someone else has got into your account. If you have added an email address, resetting your password through it signs out every device on the account, including whoever else was on it.

Classroom use is different. A licensed school may put the material in front of its own students and teachers, in lessons or as homework, within the seats its licence covers.

You can delete your account whenever you like — from the account area, or by emailing [email protected]. Deleting it removes your sign-in sessions, your progress, your solved questions, your exam log, your membership and billing rows, and any email address you had added, along with it.

04What is free and what membership unlocks

A good part of the site costs nothing and needs no account at all:

• the first lesson of every one of the twenty-nine physics modules;
• every simulation and interactive lab.

A Student or Parent account may start one free trial. It opens the paid course for exactly 72 hours from the deliberate activation click. The trial asks for no card, cannot renew, and cannot create a charge. When it expires, paid content pauses unless the account holder separately chooses the $10-per-month membership at secure checkout. School and Teacher accounts use school licences instead.

A membership unlocks the rest — the remaining lesson subsections, every downloadable PDF, the problem studios, the classroom presentation decks, and progress tracking.

Memberships are monthly subscriptions, billed by Stripe. Card numbers are typed on Stripe’s own pages and never reach GioPhysics. Cancelling and refunds are set out on the Refunds and Cancellation page.

05Who owns the material

The lessons, problems, simulations, diagrams and PDF guides are Giovanni Alexander’s own work.

Your membership is a licence to use them, not a transfer of ownership. It lets you:

• read, work through and print the material for your own study;
• download the PDFs and use them for that study.

A school licence works the same way, widened to that school’s own students and teachers for classroom and homework use. It does not extend to other schools, other campuses, or the public.

06Fair use of the site

This list is short because none of it is a surprise. Please do not:

• scrape, crawl or bulk-download the lessons, problem banks or PDFs;
• republish, resell, or hand the material to a tutoring business or another site;
• share your login, or sell access to it;
• reach for paid content without a membership, or interfere with how the site runs for other people.

An account used this way can be suspended or closed. Where the problem looks honest and fixable, you will hear from me before anything happens to it.

07What the material can and cannot do

Every lesson and problem is written and checked by hand against the syllabus it maps to. Even so, it is a study aid. It backs up your teaching and revision — it does not replace a teacher, a laboratory, or your own practice.

No exam outcome is guaranteed. A grade depends on far more than one website, and the exam scores on your progress page are the ones you enter yourself, not results received from an exam board or a school.

If you find a mistake in a lesson, tell me. Corrections are made quickly, and they make the site better for the next person.

08Changes to the service

The site is worked on constantly. Lessons get rewritten, problems get added, features change and improve. Most of that will simply appear without any announcement, and short interruptions for maintenance are part of it.

Bigger changes are handled more carefully. If something you are paying for is going to be withdrawn, or the service suspended for a stretch, that is said plainly on the site before it takes effect. You can always cancel in response — see the Refunds and Cancellation page.

09Changes to these terms

These terms will be updated when the service changes, or when something here turns out to be unclear. The date at the top of this page is always the current version.

An update that materially affects what you are paying for is set out here before it applies. Carrying on using the site after an update means the updated terms are the ones in force. If they no longer suit you, cancel — nothing further is charged.
