IB Diploma Physics: first assessment 2025

The eight visual groups are a navigation aid, not replacements for the five official themes A–E. SL includes 19 shared topic headings; HL includes all 24, plus additional depth within shared topics. A mapped lesson may include material beyond an individual IB requirement.

The former optional-topic structure and Paper 3 are not the structure of this course. Use the current official guide with your teacher for topic depth, assessment and practical requirements.
